Investment Project for Light and Activated Calcium Carbonate Products

Calcium Carbonate products for paint, plastics, film, adhesives, rubber, pharmaceuticals, paper, metallurgical and construction industries to be developed.

Products to be developed

Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC) – produced by grinding limestone into very fine particles;
Hydrolime (H-Lime) – produced by burning limestone and extracting the carbon dioxide from it;
Light Calcium Carbonate (LCC) – produced by burning limestone to its dissociation temperature and reconstituing the components by controlled precipitation;
Activated Calcium Carbonate (ACC) – produced when precipitation is done in the presence of a coating agent.

Annual production

(based on one eight hour shift per day, twenty-five working days per month)

Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC) – 20,000 tonnes
Hydrolime (H-Lime) – 30,000 tonnes
Light Calcium Carbonate (LCC) – 6,000 tonnes
Activated Calcium Carbonate (ACC) – 5,000 tonnes
