Lucerne/Alfalfa Production in Botswana. A protein based fodder crop

Lucerne is mostly imported and sold by Agriculture distribution shops in Botswana. I want to be the one to stop this import of lucerne in Botswana.

Batswana are Animal farmers and with recent global warming, we have seen the rise of drought in our agric sector. This has led to farmers supplementing their animal feeds. Lucerne is highly imported in Botswana and we have very few number of Lucerne producers in Botswana, about 4 farmers and they cannot meet the demand of Lucerne locally. This means there is an opportunity in this market as our Botswana Government is able to stop imports of Lucerne until the one produced locally is finished.

Lucern is planted once in 5 yrs and harvested so many times in a year and this makes it a cash crop to follow. One hactor will give you around 20-tonnes of harvest at around $250 a tonne. It is harvested every 4-5 weeks depending on the regrowth after cutting.

It can be fed to Dairy cows, horses, animals in feedlots, game parks as bales or pellets.

This is a highly profitable crop in Botswana at the moment it is worth the investors attention to generate money from it.

I have 16 hacters of land, not yet fenced or debushed, no soil tests carried, no borehole drilled but this is a good idea to invest in it.

- Government supports local businesses hence being able to shut down borders to stop importation of Lucerne.

For Debt INvestor, i would like to pay you annualy at 8% percent interest of the balance in duration of 3 years.

For equity Investment, i would give away 5% of the shares for you.
