Opportunity for Construction and Operation of Two Hydro Power Plants

Joint venture opportunity for the construction and operation of two hydro power plants in Bulgaria of 4.15 MW and 3.6 MW, led by an experienced hydro company.

The sites and operational licenses are in place. Funding is planned to be 60% debt and 30% equity, with a joint venture partner invited at 50% or more of equity.

There are two (potentially linked) projects:

1. “Ograjden” LTD, a company registered for the development of the project. The special purpose vehicle (SPV) company holds all the required documents of which:
- Full title of ownership of the land;
- Positive environment impact assessment reports;
- Permission to build;
- Permission to develop small hydro-plant;
- Permission to use water;
- Contract with the power distribution company to sell the energy produced.
The future power plant is situated next to Sandanski on Lebnitsa river in south-western Bulgaria.

2. “Dolene” LTD, a company registered for the development of the project. The SPV holds all the required documents of which:
- Full title of ownership of the land;
- Positive environment impact assessment reports;
- Permission to build;
- Permission to develop small hydro-plant;
- Permission to use water;
- Contract with the power distribution company to sell the energy produced.
The future power plant is situated next to Velingrad on Chepinska river in south-western Bulgaria.
