Our mobile application for the Health sector is ready for deployment. It enables helps patients to receive prescribed medicine at their doorstep.
The patients can telephone/call a doctor to discuss the ailment. After telediagnosis is made by doctor & the ailment is of common nature, he prescribes the medicines, the prescription is pushed to nearest chemist for delivery to the patient's address.
This mobile application is beneficial to people in remote corners of the state and especially elderly patients. The medicine & the service are to be made available on Free/No cost to patient. The system for a state per year costs USD 7750000 per annum. This is to cover the infrastructure cost + doctor fee + cost of medicines + delivery costs + administration cost.
Proposal to cover all districts in Maharashtra except Nagpur, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai & Pune. Approximately 3300 cases daily are for one year i.e. 365 days can be covered with this tranche of funds.
We are seeking donors for the system. After successful run for 3 years, we will extend the coverage to other states in India.
Rationale for the deal
Poor & Elderly patients suffer from ailments relating to Stomach, Burns, Cuts, Fever, Skin, etc. and these account for 90% of ailments. People in remote corners of the state can access the Help line over phone or Mobile phone. The nearest Doctor to the area PIN code attends the call, diagnoses the problem, prescribes the medicine and this is sent through mobile application to the patient & nearest Chemist. The chemist sends the prescribed medicines to the Patients house. The organization pays the doctor & the chemist from the annual tranche of USD 7750000 p.a. received from Donors.
Use of financing
The Donor contribution 7750000 USD p.a. is used as follows :-
a) Set up the Infrastructure to administer the system
b) Establish a panel of Doctors who can take calls & participate in the system
c) Enrol chemists all over the state in all the villages/taluks/districts
d) Establish a Supervisory system so that the system is not misused
e) Manage the Mobile application, Host, Manage Database & Administer online
