Live concert in Bangalore, featuring a leading international artist. With proper sponsors we would be able to recover the investment by the time of the concert date.
Investment components of the Project:
Artist & Troupe Rs. 1,37,50,000
Venue & Production costs(Including Stage, Audio/Video, Manpower, Security, Light) Rs. 18,00,000
International/Charter Travel and Accommodation Rs. 9,00,000
Marketing & Affiliations Rs. 15,00,000
Miscellaneous/Buffer Rs. 10,00,000
Total Approximate Cost Rs. 1,89,50,000
The Investment component can be recovered from prospective sponsors: Keeping in mind this is a high profile concert premium brands have already shown interest and are willing to support us once we have the artist agreements in place.
Sponsorship Slabs for Investment recovery
• Title Sponsor - Minimum 50% of the event cost.
• Platinum Sponsor - Minimum 25% of the event cost.
• Diamond Sponsor - Minimum 12% of the event cost.
• Gold Sponsor - Minimum 6% of the event cost.
• Silver Sponsor - Minimum 3% of the event cost.
Brands we are working with for sponsorships are:
Nokia, Vodafone, Idea, Tata Docomo, Blackberry, Spice Mobile, Sheraton, Jagdeesh Travels, Bhimas Jewellery, Jos Alukkas, PepsiCo, Pernod Ricard India, Kingfisher and UB, Kinvah Wines, Coca-Cola, Titan Eye,Lenovo, Dell, HDFC, ING Vysya, Landmark Builders, Karbonn Mobiles and many more local & international players.
With proper sponsors we would be able to recover the actual investment by the time of the concert date, and if the marketing and promotions are promising then we could as well make some profit right from the sponsorships even before the concert.
Ticketing and Audience expected
Ticketed Audience- 10,000 to 12,000 people
Free Invites and complementary passes- 3000 People
We would have online ticket sales as well as on ground sales for up to 30 days with dedicated and targeted marketing. Online ticketing partners- www.bookmyshow.com and www.ayojak.com
On-Ground partners are Café Coffee Day or Barista, and Landmark stores.
We would also have a dedicated hotline setup for customer wanting tickets delivered to their homes. We would also have a team setup to target corporates and banks for bulk bookings for their clients as is the norm.
The Ticket prices would be as follows (Tentative-TBD):
Keeping in mind that our concert will feature a best-selling international artist and the huge fan base he would have. Let’s say even if we have 8000 ticketed audience attending the concert, the the average ticket earnings after deducting the Entertainment taxes would the Rs. 1666.
Rs.1666 is the average earning per ticket, the entertainment tax is 10.3% which brings our per ticket earning to approx. Rs.1500
Hence approximately the total tentative ticket earnings would be - Rs.1500 x 8000 people = Rs.1,20,00,000 (We would also have recovered most of our investment via sponsors as well)
The venue would support almost 18,000 people hence we surely will look at targeting a capacity crowd concert which considerably increases our revenues.
With proper funding a concert can be conceptualized and organized in 2-3 months and we can expect prospective returns right from the fourth month.
We already have the artist line up ready for more such concerts.
Having said that, we are in need of immediate funding to start the project as soon as possible before someone else approaches the same artist to perform in Bangalore and takes the pie.
Opportunity for the investor
With proper funding a concert can be conceptualized and organized in 2-3 months and we can expect prospective returns right from the fourth month. Hence, unlike other ventures this is not a long-term investment per project. We could ideally produce 2-3 concerts in a year.
