The vision of my business is to create a marketplace where, mostly, the audience of the TV series in Turkey can find and buy what is seen in this TV programs. The funding is required for advertising and for stocking of some brand's products in advance. Normally we'll not stock the products but at first it is needed.

The service is providing a platform for TV-series watchers on web for finding and buying the clothes and furniture that they saw and liked in TV series.
The cash payback period is approximately 1 year.

This has never done in Turkey before. Some has tried but couldn't continue because of the financial problems. This is a good business because with the 27 million of TV series watchers (more than 50 million TV watchers) and more than 10 million online shoppers, there is a huge potential. In addition to that in Turkey people are always looking for to look like an actress or actor. Especially on the eastern part of the country, people's only window to the world is TV. They don't have huge malls and brands locally. And most of them are check-up TV series first to buy furniture or clothes.

The web site is give chance people not only to buy the identical product, but also they can see the products that are similar to the identical product. This is good for the firms that give clothes to the TV series. Some of them have stock problems. This is also good for price sensitive customers. Thanks to this system they can find cheaper options for the products that they like and buy. In addition, the turkey's most popular and successful stylists and decorators work for TV series. Even though a person doesn't like to watch TV series, she would definitely want to check it out to see the Turkey's most successful stylist's and decorator’s choice.

In addition the Turkish TV series are very popular in Middle East and North Africa. In the future we can export our products to their web site.
Opportunity for investor is to make money in a very little time. Because this business is about media and entertainment, the investor's name will be very popular, too.

The project is on early stage. Our web site has just opened. It's been 15 days. But I've been working on the project and the agreements for more than 1,5 years. So agreements have signed with 3 producers and more than 20 firms that give products to TV series. There are more than 50 TV series but we have signed with the most popular ones.

Thirdly the human resource. We have to work with photographers, stylists, technicians and so on.

Competitive Advantage

First of all since dizidensectim.com will be the first one in online TV-series products shopping center, it will not have any direct competitors in first hand. However there exist some substitutes like Markafoni, Trendyol. They are the most important two forerunners of private online shopping web sites in Turkey. The most important difference of dizidensectim.com is the TV-series based product sales strategy.

The perspective is reverse. Markafoni, for example, chose its products and present them people. Then people decide if they want to buy these products. We plan to sell the customers who already decided to buy the products from TV. We don’t have to advertise the products again. It will have already been decided. At least for our core target market. For our second target the online shoppers who doesn’t watch TV, we have to advertise the products but it is in our second stage marketing plans. So, first mover advantage will play a big role.

The sooner we achieve to penetrate in market, the more market share will be hold in the future. At start, we are going to have 100% of the market. This project has been applied to the reality before in other countries. Gmarket.com in Korea is doing almost the same business. They are very successful and be bought by e-bay. This project is hard to copy, because it's difficult to deal with TV series producers. The procedures are too long. We have started the project 1,5 year ago. It took that long to convince them. So it is going to be hard to go in the business for others. Secondly, once we built up the certain firms that is giving products to the Tv series, it'll be hard to convince them, too. We will already have a proof with our customer and member numbers.

Rationale for the deal

Opportunity is very clear. I've told before; 27 million potential customers; more than 10 million online shoppers.

We are going to make money from selling the products. Mostly 30% will be our profit. And average furniture is going to be 500$ or an average clothes is going to be 50$.

Other market players are only selling one product that became very famous in a TV series by using the TV series name once a month. But this isn't their core business. They only aim to sell the most popular one product with many products that they already sell which are not related to the TV series.
