The restaurant will be a 60 seat fine-dining high end restaurant with a 30 seat lounge. With a focus on the eastern Caribbean menu with a touch of East Asian influence. We will be located in the booming, and rapidly expanding, Downtown, Portland, Oregon. The restaurant promises to entertain your soul as well as your palate in a hip & classy environment. This installment will specialize in Nu Caribbean cuisine or what can be dubbed “Oregon Savvy Caribbean Cuisine” . The menu will embrace the cooking styles and techniques of several Caribbean islands.
Set on one level the restaurant’s décor will be described as contemporary yet natural with a spacious dining room, boasts bamboo surrounding and seaside scenery lined walls; while the Rhum Lounge, on the eastern corner, invites you with its subdued lighting, party and event style interior with surround sounds like Reggae, Calypso, Salsa & Bachata music that will further enchant you as you sip one of restaurant's many tropical drinks.

$250,000 of funding is needed over the next year for renovations, furniture, kitchen equipment, liquor license, food & restaurant supplies, legal fees, working capital, marketing and personnel
We are seeking to raise $220,000.00 from investors. Our preferred instrument will be five year subordinated notes with an attractive coupon rate of 10% for the first three years and 12% for the remaining two years. At the end of five years the investors' notes will have matured and original principal plus a 2% premium and the final interest payment will be made.
