Investment Projects for Construction of Cocoa Processing Plant

Our project will add value to raw cocoa by setting up a plant for processing it into butter, cake and powder for the chocolate industry of Europe and America.

We also plan to set up a cooperative/association of farmers who will grow organic cocoa, which will be purchased by the plant. This will increase the value of Ghana’s cocoa crop.

Ghana is the world’s second-largest producer and exporter of cocoa. This creates opportunities for increasing the value added in this industry by processing raw cocoa into cocoa products. We plan to put up a plant costing between $15m and $25m to start processing cocoa for the global chocolate market. We also intend to run a program for the production of organic cocoa by developing a cooperative or association of registered farmers. The plant will sign contracts with the farmers/association to buy their produce for processing.
