Sourcing and Exporting Cocoa Beans and Other Agro Commodities

We are at a development stage of our business where we need equity partnership with someone that will help us to buy and sell more and to expand to other countries.

The project is to source cocoa beans, crude palm oil, sesame seeds, shea nuts, raw cashew nut from the Bush tribe and from dealers in various locations in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Mali, Burkina Faso, etc. and to export these commodities to various end users and traders in the world market. All the products mentioned above are raw materials to their respective industry members.

The scope of the project embraces buying the said commodities on cash basis from the respective farmers, dealers, traders, etc. and export them to customers who pre book the products with us at an ex price.

The cash pay back period would be 3 to 5 years. The gross margin on the said business is 30% per annum or maybe even higher. We are Indians living in Ghana. We are looking for an investor who would be interested to join hands with us for this business.

There are almost 10000 cashew factories in India and Vietnam that are always in short of the raw cashew nuts. The entire Gulf and the Asian continent is always in short of sesame supplies since their produce is always expensive to consume and trade. The major Oil industry in Japan uses African sesame. Cocoa Beans are the basic raw material for manufacturing of chocolate or any choco product including biscuits. The chocolate manufacturers need cocoa beans round the year. The majority of buyers are the manufacturers of coco cake based in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thiland, Phillipines, etc. They convert cocoa beans into coco cake and export the cake to major chocolates brands who use the cake to manufacture their chocolate. Considering all of that, you can imagine how important this commodity is.
