Investment Opportunity

We plan to start selling hygienically packed raw / cut fruits to kids in schools and adults in offices with the motto “Health First”.

We are an established company, and we have completed our first year with total turnover of Rs. 1.35 crore. We are currently dealing with retail giants (like Big Bazaar, RIL, Metro etc.).

We are looking to start delivering fruit or salad packs. Our target buyers are schools & offices, who in our belief will understand the essentiality of fresh fruits & salads in our daily life. We will contact them with the offer to provide them our healthy packs at their door step.

Competitive Advantage

I am an Agribusiness management graduate who had worked in different companies on key strategic positions viz. Future Group and Walmart (as Senior Manager Fresh Produce), where I have handled the procurement and got familiar with the seasonality and perishability of fruits & vegetables.

Having knowledge of seasonality and know-how of SCM and packaging, we could offer our customers small packs of fruits or key salad items. There is currently no hard core competitor for this. With introducing new and new innovations in packaging etc. and providing a high quality service we could become a market leader. We are ready to discuss with interested investors all aspects of the business and its plans for development.

Rationale for the deal

There is fundamentally no packaged fruit or salad concept in the market. We will focus on procurement at the best available rates (through Azadpur mandi or directly from farmers) and through packaging we will work on at-least 10% net margin. I myself surveyed many schools and they are ready to introduce this concept. There are many corporate offices in Gurgaon which could also be directly contacted and served.

Use of financing

The funds are needed for packaging machines, man-power, working capital (e.g. procurement / packaging items / transportation etc.), as well as for marketing & customer service (creating a help-line).

Opportunity for the investor

We can involve the investor as an equity partner in our Board where he himself could monitor and help implementing the concept.
