Investment Opportunity

We want to start a pilot project for greenhouse cultivation of fresh flowers, fruits & vegetables for the Bangalore market with scope to increase the area.

The project is about controlled environmentally friendly cultivation of flowers, fruits, and vegetables using advance technology. We want to start with 1 Hectare of greenhouse cultivation of the following crops: Grebera (1 acre), Capsicum (0.5 acres), Cucumer (0.5 acres), and other vegetables (0.5 acres).
The Farm is near Bangalore - 48 Kms from the city center. We plan to start in June 2012.

There is a demand for quality fresh produce with consistent supply. Especially after the retail format stores have gained acceptance the demand has increased because they are not able to meet the produce requirements through conventional channels.

The payback period is about 5-7 years. We have secured the farmland and borewells will be drilled during the next week.

The funds are to be used for setting up a hi-tech greenhouse infrastructure at our farm to ensure quality produce.

Competitive Advantage

We have extensive professional management and agribusiness experience.

Rationale for the deal

We have the ability to tie up with the retailers/vendors to buy our produce, somewhat like contract production.

Use of financing

Primarily for Infrastructure development (Greehouse; Irrigation systems)

Opportunity for the investor

Competitive ROI with option to grow with the project, option to convert investment to equity at the end of the term.
