We now venture to establish a Visual Effects & Animation Academy in India that imparts quality education on current industry technologies.
Our studio is involved in cutting edge visual effects film-making and has vast professional experience, including training the workforce for a project by the prestigious National Film Development Corporation of India, a governmental enterprise and largest exporter of Indian films worldwide.
We realized that all existing visual effects programs are predominantly desk oriented and generalistic in nature, resulting in the candidates needing on-the-job training on specific streams to make them employable by any company.
We have devised two core programs and set of advanced specialization modules, which though starting from scratch leads the candidate to advanced job specific practical training, in industry specific streams making him/her immediately employable and a worthy asset to any employing company.
The facility will house the latest technological assets for both the program streams, allowing students hands on training and industry exposure.
These assets will further be monetized by offering these services to the industry, and renting of the equipment.
The ROI (Return on Investment) on the assets will be optimal as the facility will be utilized optimally between renting out and use by the academy for educational purposes.
Later, while scaling up we have the opportunity to absorb the best candidates from the training program into our very own visual effects studio, which can be an extension of the academy and facility.
The current fore runners in the field of visual effects education are: MAAC, Frameboxx, Image Animation, Arena Multimedia and ICAT.
Apart from these market players there exists an array of small scale institutions, which are testimony to the demand in the marketplace.
After analysis of their program design, curriculum & marketing, we have aimed to bridge the gap that exists between the supply and the demand for training in the industry.
Here are our main advantages:
1. The overall program design for industry specific specialization
2. Practical hands on training (beyond just computer work)
3. Skill specific rather than tool centric training
4. Access to advanced, stream specific, emerging technology:
a) 3D Structured Light Scanning (Visual effects)
b) High Dynamic Range Image Based Lighting (Visual Effects)
c) Motion/Facial Capture (Animation)
Are solid USP's (Unique Selling Points) and industry needs that set us apart from the herd and enable us to quickly establish our presence and dominate the market.
Visual effects and animation training is a booming field, where we have the technological opportunity to establish our market presence and quickly dominate the niche.
There exists a market gap, which can be leveraged for a stable, scalable and profitable venture.
The field is unlike other more traditional fields where a rigid hierarchy has already taken root.
The funds will be used to setup the visual effects academy and the associated emerging technology assets.
The Total Project Investment Required is Rs.1,03,70,000 (~ $179,000).
We are willing to invest up to Rs.20,00,000.
We will handle all the technical expertise requirements & management.
We are looking for an equity investor for the remaining sum of Rs.83,70,000
The revenue from the project will be shared equally - 50% each.
As with all technology based ventures, the time window of the opportunity is crucial. We intend to have the project running ideally within 4-6 months.
