Vegetable Farm Seeking Loan to Start Poly House Production

We are looking for a loan in the amount of $200,000 to start the project. The payback period is 2 years and the proposed annual interest rate - 35-40%.

We are doing open-field vegetable farming in 150 acres in Kenya. We are planning to expand our farming, but in polyhouse production. As per the market demand, we are planning to do coloured capsicum and tomatoes under polyhouse. We are planning to start this project by end of May 2013.

• Our production is targeting the Kenyan market.
• Our income generation will be throughout the year, because under polyhouse production will be assured throughout the whole year.
• We have the standard order agreement from the buyers throughout the year. Marketing will be easier with the contract.
• We got all the quotations from the suppliers for the project, as the project is going to be started in end of May 2013.
• As per the requirement, we need $200000/- to start the project.
• We can repay the total investment after two years with 35-40% interest per annum according to the investment level.

As we will be producing the vegetables under polyhouse, natural calamities like rain will not affect our production, while the farmers’ production is dependent on the rain and is hence seasonal. So we can assure supply to the market the whole year long.
