Investment Opportunity

I would like to start up a fish trade business across Kenya and later expand it to other regions. Fish caught at the coast will be supplied to customers in no time.

This is a lucrative business whereby fish products caught at the Kenyan coast can be quickly and easily accessed by hotels, individuals, and restaurants in regions all over the country. To the customer this would be like going to the bank and getting whatever services you desire only that the bank would be the our Fish Holding and the services would be obtaining and supplying fish products in regions all over Kenya.

This model is more reliable because it would offer a centralized location like a depot where anyone can easily access the products. These products will be transported to the clientele upon purchase thus providing a platform where buyers can select the kind of fish they desire of, which will then be delivered to them upon transaction. The fish species include Red snapper, Tuna, King Fish, Prawns, Whole fish, Tafi and Tangu.

Competitive Advantage

As much as there are other competitors around not all provide a centralized wholesale holding where buyers can access all fish products. Also they are restricted in terms of distribution as fish is supplied only to particular areas, so other potential buyers in other areas find it hard to access fish commodities.

Thus we are providing an easier way for everyone to access fish products without bias to the region they reside, We’d also offer transport to the respective buyers to maximize their convenience, ensure an additional promoting channel, and guarantee quick and efficient trade all across the country to all regions.

Rationale for the deal

I intend to capitalize on the high demand of fish, especially in areas with minimal or no access to such commodities, and to offer convenient and reliable means of supplying fish to buyers all across the region. Thus my start-up will stand at a higher chance of obtaining high market demand due to the special services it will provide.

Most fishermen and competitors at the coast tend to sell fish products majorly in Nairobi, so other regions tend to be isolated in this trade. I intend to capitalize on the limited supply of fish commodities by offering potential buyers in these other regions a way in which they too can obtain these commodities in an easier and convenient way. Moreover, in this way potential buyers get to interact with suppliers providing a good buyer-supplier interaction which is healthy in boosting trade as well as useful in capitalizing on the market.

Use of financing

• Transport cost: $1500
• Cooler or refrigeration cost: $3000

I am looking for a silent investor but whom I would be giving a well detailed report as per the proceedings of the business.
