Point of Sale System Needing an Update

I have a fully developed Point of sale software package. It needs to be converted into a new language (from VB6 to VB.net).

The funding is required to employ 2 new developers full time.

The project would be completed within 6 months.

Payback will be within 18 months of the completed project.

The system will cater to the retail and hospitality industry. It has a fully functional property management system for hotels and guest houses.

The system does full debtors and creditors, stock control, recipes, food costing, bill of materials, over 100 different reports.

There is a full membership and loyalty section which is suitable clubs, school kiosks and tuck shops, etc.

The system is designed to calculate both actual and theoretical costs.

These are just a few of the features.

In today's time with the economy is struggling and businesses are failing daily, it is without a doubt the time to have a system to help manage your business.

The project is currently running on a VB6 platform and needs to be upgraded to VB.net to stay current and move forward with all the latest technology.

The funding is to employ 2 full time VB.net developers to do the conversion and to facilitate a test period before releasing on clients.

There are a number of other big players in the POS market but the systems are generally very exspensive. As I am an owner of a business with representatives operating on commission only, overheads are kept to a minimum. Also being owner operated it is possible to do custom features for clients.

The larger POS companies do not offer the same intimate service as I would and they also do not do any custom feature work.
